Who I am

My name is Missy and I live in England with my husband, Jason, and our three small children.   We are American and have been living here for four and a half years.  I am a former business executive, turned primary school teacher, turned stay-at-home-mom.  I sometimes feel like I am going out of my mind so I started this blog to give myself a creative outlet.  This blog features my observations on English life with three kids under 4 years old and just the general chaos of raising small children.

  1. Hi Missy! I just got a chance to read your blog and love it. I always dreamed of living abroad. It is great to read about your experiences.

Thank you for the comment that you left on my blog titled ‘Motherhood Delayed’. I am looking for guest writers (for about a three hundred word entry) to write about their experiences about being an older mum and how they would do it differently knowing what they know now.

You wrote about the energy factor and wishing you had started parenthood five years earlier. If that is something you would like to write about in a guest entry let me know. I am looking to dedicate one entry a week to a section called ‘Voices from the Trenches’ or something along those lines.

If you are interested, let me know via email. My email address is: rolavarria@msn.com

    Thanks!

    Rebecca

  2. Hi Missy. Thanks for your encouraging words. I have just started on this journey with my twins, and it’s great to have someone else’s experiences to draw from. I’m now subscribed to your blog, which looks great.

    Thanks again,
    Janet

    • Hi Janet,
Thanks for your post. You seem to be handling everything so much better than I did. I was just constantly shell-shocked. My advice to you is to WAIT for a long time before thinking about a 3rd child! 🙂 See you around.
